THE NIGHTMARE HOUR...

I go through phazes where i have nightmares....This one ive had since i was a child ...Im running through a dark empty house and everytime i go to put the light on it doesn't work so I run to the next light switch and that doesn't work either!....I can feel someone/thing behind me.....This one ive had lately I wake up to hear someone in the house downstairs...I go to the window and see people outside but I can't shout for help....no voice...and the other one is Im in a record store buying cliff richard records but we wont talk about that...Thing is I always wake up at ten past four in the morning..its the worst time as its too late at night and too early in the morning..Its the dead hour...So iv'e found a cure for all this ..stay up till four oclock...problem solved...

Hope you slept well Gypsy - but don't nightmares time-shift? I've had some of my weirdest in daylight hours. Still, you're right - darkness magnifies all horrors - with the possible exception of Cliff Richard.

Is the second pic a Brett Whiteley? It looks like something from his heroin-induced-horror days. As a deterrant, those drawings beat "Just Say No" hands down.

I think the best cure is to cover Cliff up like you did on this post. :)

I think a few too many glasses of Shampaign would do the trick equally well.

Just do what my dear daddy taught me. As your having the dream tell yourself - its only a dream and tell yourself to wake up! It worked for me everytime... To bad it doesn't work in real life too!

I woke up in a sweat this morning at five twenty...
I had spent, what seemed all night, trying to get to the Who concert...
Beth and George had left in the truck without me...I had no keys to the van...I started walking to find the keys...got stuck in traffic (on foot?)...got stuck in a bathroom...it's a three-hour drive and time was running out...
No one would help me!

Four in the morning is a very eerie time...it's dark, it's silent, no one can hear you scream...

I have dreams where I can't talk, too. Wonder what that symbolises...

My regular rising hour is between five and six...so staying up late is out of the question.

So...with the time difference and the difference in hours we keep, we go to bed at exactly the same time!

All I can say is, I am glad I wake up every day...

Gypsy - my bad! I had no idea you could catch ear infections over the net. You'll have to find someone else to blame for the eye though - at time of writing both mine are in full working order. More than I can say for these bloody ears. I feel like some geriatric old maid. Eh? Speak up, dearie!

Must stop typing rubbish and go and pack - I'm supposed to be driving away in a couple of hours, and I've done nuffink. Will check back in a few days.

Take care.
