When in Chicago I went to the Jelly Belly factory where they were selling their seconds, which they call belly flops!

Ah, never tempted by those- the jellytin is against our veggie diet!

I did, however, have ten truffles at our school tea on Wednesday. "oink oink"!

If the jelly babies grew up in to people ther'd be more to eat..then i wouldn't need more..ive had to placate myself with pineapple jam sandwichs all weekend it helps when your down...val i like liquorice allsorts too but i hate liquorice so i eat the coloured bit and i'm left with a gooee mountain of liquorice at the end..any advice on how to put that to good use?..
lannio i gave birth to a jelly baby last night but because it was green i had to put it up for adoption..

Belly flops! LMAO. Love it!

I'm not too tempted by the jelly stuff either. Truffles are, however, another matter with me, too! Especially dark chocolate truffles. Mmmmmmmm.

I'm not a declared (any kind of) vegetarian, but I rarely eat red meat....I write this as a juicy roast simmers in the crock pot. What can I say, it's my step son's favorite - and he doesn't get it often.

I just posted on your last post....that got a bit scary there for a while.....:O

mmm... jelly babies... i like the ones that are more sour than sweet... but for sweet indulgance... the way to my heart is home made caramels, soft and rich with cream... ah yes, with a cup of strong, hot tea... a good book, warm blanket around my toes as the rain falls with arrogant aplomb outside... a perfect day off... so rare!
Ah, perchance to dream...

as far as red meat goes, we eat less these days as well... but small tender bits, a lovely little filet mignon... mmm... if you are going to eat it, eat good bits.

Licorice all-sorts are right up there on my list - alongside liver...

As for filet mignon...it's good stuffed, too.

It's like the most tender, juicy part of the cow... you know, like the very centre of the Jelly Babies, but with blood.
