Wow wee one! That is one fabulous room! I love high ceilings too, although I'm wondering how easy it will be to keep warm. Didn't spot any radiators in there or did I miss something??

All that floor space must make you feel incredibly rich. I'd be rolling around on it just for fun ;-)

Have been thinking of you today...big hugs xxx

Derechic! PMSL @ film noir light bulb ha ha! Just got back from the creme de la trendy Spoons lol so tired again today think I'll have another bath.

Yes guys the cielings really ARE that high, the acoustics are fantastic! As me and Gypsy discovered on friday whilst downloading various dancehall and hardcore classics for our audio muse :-D

Oh wow, what a wonderful big room! I admire your ability to keep it open and airy. If it were mine it would be full of stuff. Big stuff, little stuff, any stuff. Cluttered mind, cluttered room. (Sigh.)

Love those high ceilings - especially when they stay up. You've done some really serious work here! Watch the jumping off the bed though - don't want the floor going too.

you know the ceiling had a wonderful old border round it but the builders damaged it and couldn't repair it so they pulled it off and put that gastly picture rail around the wall to try and restore the period look!!..
he he val..i was walking like a coalman for a week afterwards..
lol..margie!!!..dont say that..i'll land in the shop down stairs..good job its not the chinkies..or i'd end up in the fried rice..lol..

oh, I just love high ceilings, it makes a room feel so big and open. And yes, I can almost see your pooch on the bed. You have a place full of furry friends.

Hope you had a great day

Chaz - I just came back here to check it all out again, and the first thing I saw was your "I think I'll have another bath". You don't know how I moaned! Our showers are now down to 3 minutes (5 if I have to wash my hair or shave my legs), and watering lawns is banned, with plant watering restricted to 2 days a week, by bucket or trigger hose only. No car washing either, which come to think of it, is fine by me.

But two baths in one day???? Heaven on a stick!

I shall think of you soaking in your bubbles when I am using a bucket to catch and recycle the water I rinse the veggies in tonight ...

England may be cold at times, but at least you get RAIN.

Margie, it's funny how used you get to saving water though. I'm still a bit manic about not wasting a drop even though I've lived here for over six years now!

Of course on a barge, it's limited anyway unless you want to fill your tanks every few days, but Chaz!! You don't know what I'd give for one delicious soak, let alone two in a day! I only have a little sit bath on my boat which is like a sit down shower, and I haven't had a proper bath since my last visit to South Africa...over a year ago...shocking, hey!

Gyspy, I see the radiator now, but it's not very big is it? I can imagine that you want an extra quilt...I think I'd be doing the wee willie winkie too in a hat and thick socks as well..lol!

Hey Gyspy
She died nearly 12 years ago. Genetic disorder. She was supposed to die at birth, but we had two glorious months with her. She was a real scrapper, she was, and stayed with us as long as she could. The post I talked about earlier, the Mother's Day one, touches on how greatly she affected my life.

Blogger gypsy noir said...

Oh stevie ..i'm deeply sorry for you,..i know a little bit about this as my sister lost her daughter, lucia, twelve years ago too..to a genetic disorder..she was suppose to die with-in days but fought on for 11 months..it was a very sad time...she came for a short while and left a lasting impression on our hearts..just like your little girl..
i can't even imagine how you or my sister felt to lose a child...my heart goes out to you..

20 March, 2007 20:16
Blogger Stevie said...

thanks Gyps. She was the light of my life, and taught me the true meaning of love. I was very lucky to have had her, and when she died, she was snuggled to my chest, close to my heart.
I am thankful for my boys and their good health every day...

wellll...when my brother dismantled my bed to move it..i was supposed to hold the rear end..but i got distracted and let go..thus resulting in the middle part of the underside to snap!!..with much %^$**(&£"! from my bro...thankfully he fixed it with a bracket..
so in true style i thought i would test it out by jumping on it..
(my bro does'nt know this btw..he would kill me)...and it seems fine..ha!...the mattress is very springy..oh yes...
