BROTHERLY LOVE!..

AS YOU CAN SEE BY MY FACE I DID NOT REALIZE MY OLDEST BROTHER GEORGE WAS ABOUT TO SMASH MY HEAD IN WITH A TENT MALLET..HEHEHE!..
WE USED TO BE AT WAR WITH EACH OTHER GROWING UP...BUT THEN HE WENT TO LONDON FOR A WEEKEND WHEN HE WAS 17 AND BROUGHT ME THIS LOVELY FLOWER PATCH BACK AS A GIFT I COULD SEW ON MY JEANS...FROM THAT DAY WE NEVER FOUGHT AGAIN!..BLESS HIM..

My brother used to love to wrap badminton rackets around my neck. Ah, siblings...

P.S.- just so Alfie knows, my other two cats are boys. The grey one is called Dalziel and the black one is Sirius, and they do tend to lick each other a lot and leave Creemie off on her own. Make of that what you will. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Love this photo! God you look so cute.

There must be something about brothers and hammers. Mine didn't wait so long though - mum caught him mid-backswing with a claw hammer over my bassinette when I was about three months old. Apparently he had taken to calling me "little skunky", which was presumably the rudest, nastiest thing he could come up with at the time.

We never really fought, but we not exactly best buddies either. We did have a flower patch moment though - a little later than yours and George's. It was when I was in my first flat and someone called me to say my cat had been run over. He came over to pick poor little Chauncey up for me cos I couldn't face it. It was the first time he ever hugged me. A truly bonding experience.

You got off lightly Gypsy. Catherine's my middle name, and I'd have much preferred Ratrine to the "Maggot" I got for Margaret!

From the files of Bob the Aardvark's (AKA Ian) dictionary:
Ganoot: (Gah-nuwt)

It's a major blending of words. Some have similar meanings and others are so irrelevant that mustard can seem like Red River gumbo after a flock of geese that had dined on a rotten field of corn had shite all upon. Then again, that's very mustard-like. So... Ganoot

There may be some Danish in its roots. There is certainly some old English but mostly it's a Winnipeg thing that evolved one evening, which fell from the ashes of some afternoon that was frightened into submission at the crack of some morning.
GANOOT: A stupid self-absorbed poetic arse who will never undersand the simplest mechanics of a can opener.
