They certainly do look thrilled to bits Gyspy. Now I challenge you to come up with an equally naff gift for the next fifty years or so! What's year number two's theme? Wood? Note: Harder pencils last longer than the softer ones. (same as toilet paper, actually - ouch!).

nothing better than a gift one can acutally use
By Dale - will they use it? Like all wedding and anniversary presents, it must be displayed whenever the giver visits. How's Gypsy going to feel if she comes over to lunch expecting to see her pressie in pride of place on the mantelpiece, and finds it has has been despoiled and flushed? It could signal an ugly end to a loving relationship. Chantal and Darren need to tread - and wipe - carefully here.

gyps your gift was shamelessly extravagant.. i asked my husband for a piano for our first anniversary.. he presented me with a 3" cardboard replica.. paper he said.. so you must be correct.. i still have it...
